Original problem was overfilling on one of the Cotton programs. Cold inlet valve stayed open even when machine was powered off. Managed to cut cold water off with just a bit of spillage coming out from front of detergent box. Emptied it.

Switched to Easy-Care program and washed as normal but program doesn’t advance. Goes on for about 1.5hrs before you get beeps and error code 02, suggesting water outlet blocked. Checked and wasn’t.

Power off machine and restart manual forward advance to rinse cycle and everything works to end of program.

Now gone back to Cotton program and same thing with not advancing. No over spill this time. Powered off, then manual advance and finished to end with no probs.

Cleaned out detergent box and made sure all pipes attached are not blocked. Cleaned rear drain chamber, checked waste pump works fine and no blockages. Pressure chamber and attached pipe is clear. Drum motor works fine.

Very clean inside for a 7-8 year old washing machine with nothing changed yet and built solidly. Much more so than the previous washing machine, a Hoover which lasted 5 years with 2 new drain pumps. Weak springs and messed up electronics killed the Hoover in the end.

Suspect electronic module AKO 546 162/164 but after reading a thread on don’t point to module first, I’d ask for any pointers from more seasoned people who might have come across this before.

    Thanks.

    Hi
Error code 2 is a heating problem 😉
Module is timing out and displaying fault code.
Power off if you are to investigate further :plug:

Does that mean the element is failing or a heat sensor prob? If so, what’s the correct resistance when using a multimeter to check this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Heater between 25 – 30 ohms.
If that checks out it may be a NTC sensor or module fault.

Un-plug appliance if you are to investigate :plug:
