ParticipantHey all,
Am planning to grab a cooker, fridge freezer, and washer dryer on BNPL 12 months from Tribal, and am trying to choose a cooker!
At the moment I’m thinking of a Belling 668. Any opinions on this one? If its a stinker, what should I be looking at.
We currently have none of the above appliances, so looking to get them asap!
Any advice appreciated 🙂

Hi LFW
We have recently purchased for our daughter as a house warming present the Cannon C60EKS Kendall cooker. Having looked at all the others out there including the Belling, we came down to the Cannon on several counts. The doors have a nice solid feel and when shut don`t have that awful tinny sound, the inner glass removes easily for cleaning as do the shelf racks, as for cooking results she produced a fabulos christmas lunch for eight of us with no probs.

Hmm, arent Cannon really Indesit, and Belling really Beko these days?
Does the Cannon really feel that much better than the Belling? I’ll probably end up going to see them before buying online, but i’d like to get some information from a few boffins here first, rather than listening to some sales assistant drival!
Do the Belling cookers have a tinny sound to them these days then?

Yes Yes and Yes 😆On a slightly more serious note the Cannon build is better than the Belling by a country mile.
We trawled the shops with our daughter as we can`t hold all the cookers we would like to in the shop and she was of the same opinion as us with the quality of the Cannon.
Just as a by the way, Hotpoint and Creda are part of the same group as well but the build is different on all three, with Cannon out in front in our opinion.

Guess I’m gonna have to pop into Comet for a looksie then! Really shouldn’t buy a cooker blind 😉
Any idea what differerence, if any, there is between the two ranges, C60EKS and C60ETX.
I was originally looking for a model with a multi-function main oven, but can’t remember why, been without one for so long, and I come from gas 🙁 Probably something to do with pizzas! As much as I’d love an Induction hob, Ceramic with at least one halogen spot for a little more control, again, coming from gas 🙁
Any idea what Solarglo is?
Cheers for the help so far!

DonNearly right, 500mm bellings are beko, 550 and 600mm belling cookers are stoves builds.
I am with you though the Cannon is a better buy at the moment, till the 600mm ones are assembled elsewhere.

Guess it’ll have to be the Cannon then!
C60ETX? Don’t fancy the cream one, so it’ll have to be the Stainless Steel 🙂 Will it look ‘ok’ with a white WD and FF, or is it worth getting silvers of those too?

Hi LFW
Good choice
Down to personal preferance really 😉 If the cooker is on the opposite side of the kitchen to the other two then yes it will probably look okay IMO.
No point in replacing them just for the sake of it.

I’m getting all three 😉 I don’t have any of them at the moment, just a small fridge and a microwave!

LFW
😳 :rolls: me age you know lol.
Hotpoint have Graphite and Aluminium finishes available and Bosch have silver available which is very similar to Aluminium.
Better if you can have a seperate washer and dryer if space allows.
Good article about them here .

Yeah, was thinking of a Bosch WVD24520 Washer Dryer and a Bosch KGN39X01GB. Both are white, but are available in silver for an extra price jump. But theres a £35 discount for buying two Bosch appliances 🙂
It’s all going on 12 months interest free. It’s either that or buying rubbish that’ll probably be in a landfill 2 years down the line!
You mention Hotpoint…they don’t seem to be liked a great deal here, or are there some models that are actually good?
Cheers 🙂

Hi
Hotpoint is better than some of the other stuff out there. However the Bosch quality, warranty and service is superior.
Just thought you might like a choice of more than one 😉
