I’m replacing the element on our Neff U1421 fan oven more than once a year! Any thoughts on why this could be happening?
Our use of the oven is perhaps less than normal, the door seal is good. I have replaced the fan once in the past. All I can think of is the fan may be running the wrong way or lacking power?

The fan motors have a habit of slowing thus causing the elements to overheat.

That would explain it. The original fan motor failed and I replaced it with a much cheaper Creda fan. Would it have made a difference if I’d used the proper Neff part?
Very possibly, yes, if not probable.
When replacing parts you really should replace like-for-like, which isn’t to say that it has to be the genuine pukka item as very often there are alternatives available, same factory, different sticker on the box very often. Or, there are some which there is no difference in at all other than a terminal or whatever, but with fans and stuff, it’s best to be as close to the original as possible.
Case in point, if the replacement you’ve fitted isn’t driving enough air over the element either by air direction or volume/speed it will pop every few months.
