    Hi, my ff auto defrost has failed for 3rd time now. It had a new modded fan/cover under warrenty, then drain heater went o/cct [your eng v helpful!] which i replaced. Now element heater has gone o/cct. One of the posts i’ve seen mentioned being able to swap heater without regas and also mentioned an updated/alternate element for sr series. Will this heater fit and work in my ff or am i better off with the same type?

    The fridge defrost heater comes as a complete evaporator and heater assy. You have to fiddle the heater off and refit to old unit. Part number is DA96-00013B Evaporator refrigerator assy.

    Thanks for your advice, i swapped heater element as you described and i now have a fully op. ff again. Excellent site
