I’ve got a similar problem with my fridge which is also a RL64 but the fridge seems to have a strange smell coming from it. Thought something had gone off in it but convinced it is the fridge and obviously it isn’t getting cold either. Could these be the thermostat or could it be something else as well. Any ideas? Thanks

check if this has a drain hole if so get a jug of warm water and a couple of caps of bleach and pour the water/bleach down the hole as if any bits of food etc drop down they could get stuck or land on compressor tray.

Then when the motor runs it gets hot causing the smell to be produced.

ps remove compressor tray and try to use bowl.

The other thing I have done in past and it worked when the fridge stank of curry was to get some zoflora oil and put some water in a pot pour some in and place in fridge leave for two days and ha presto smell disappeared and item sold next day. 😀

Thanks for that answer but fridge ain’t working so I don’t think it’s the motor that’s smelling as it ain’t running. It seems to be a cross between something gone off and a gassy smell.

Unplug power if you are going in.
