Electrolux ESL 6114

We have a 3 year old Electrolux ESL 6114 dishwasher which has suddenly stopped working. When switched onto its usual programme, we realised about 3 hours later that it was still “running” (much longer than usual). We then discovered no water had come into the machine at all. Would we have to remove the machine from its position in order to check the incoming water pipes? Could it be something else? We tried turning it on with the door open, and could hear gurgling sounds but could that be draining sounds rather than water trying to get into the machine?

We aren’t particularly good DIYers, but have a good friend who could probably help if required…
