    Hey All,

A couple of months ago we had a Fault Code 56 on our F&P GW611 washer. The repair guy replaced the motor control module and it was a bit strange the first wash after, then worked fine.

Now we have a Fault the has shown up 00100101 (reading left to right, code 37???), some sort of pumping error. The repair guy came out and couldn’t find a problem, however when we tried to use it again the code came up again. Basically it is not rinsing properly or spinning, arghh!! Occasionally however, it decides to work.

Just wondering if it sounds like a major problem or if we should bother getting it fixed. After spending $276 on getting it fixed 2 months ago and another $110 last week I don’t want to keep flogging a dead horse, so to speak!!!

    Thanks in advance 🙂

37 is the pump block error – drain not detected in the time allowed. This can be caused by a number of things, most of which you should be able to deal with yourself.

Firstly, kinked or trapped drain hose reducing flow. The pump can be blocked by debris or lost clothing. The cover above the pump can work loose, causing a loss of pump pressure. The pump itself may be failing – running for a while and then shutting down. If you can’t hear the pump running at all, there may be wiring problems or even a problem with the motor controller.

If it actually emptying, it is possible that the level switch is not detecting it due to water in the tube leading to it.

The pump haas a live supply to it at all times if the machine is plugged in, so power off before touching anything.
