this dryer had no heat fitted stat kit all ok for 2 cycles then trips hse electrics any ideas richard 😕

Up-date: I’ve since been pm’ed to say it’s a CTD00….state of the art Hotpoint no less?. 😀

Reason:-
remove cover from pump assembly and remove pump and float.
Inside water resevoir l/h side there is a small squarish hole get a large cable tie or something similar and push it thru.
Removing condenser should allow you to see cable tie inside condenser chamber.
get kitchan roll and clear out channel that you will feel at back of condenser housing leading to the hole to the water resevoir.
dryout heater with hair dryer if there is lots of water you may have to remove rear circulating fan and dry in there also.1 more thought is this time oy year if they are sited in unheated garages out houses etc then condensation on element.

Had one of these recently where the fan was worn and spinning off axis causing vibration. This was pretty heavy and had caused the mica on the element sides to wear also, causing the element contacts to drop slightly and touch earth. Another fault causing this can be wet fluff build up around the element tags. clean off and it tests ok.
