ParticipantHi Folks,
I used to have a list of all charges for Manufacturers and the big sheds.
It was always useful to allow customers to compare prices. I recently had an issue with a customer about payment. He claimed I was charging him too much, even though I informed him of the charges before hand. He eventually paid but that’s another story involving the Royal Bank of Dunlop cheques.Any way it would be handy to update and we could quote them to customers:
I know Hotpoint charges are:

(Part included)At Comet we used to charge £59.95 plus parts.
Any others would be appreciated.

KeymasterInteresting idea for a thread that is worthy of attention.

Participantcomet charge £30 for callout and initial consultation
then a further £45 plus parts if any work is carried out
so if ur machines b.e.r just £30
which happens a lot

Just found this thread. Did my own ring round a few days ago (West Midlands):
BSH – £69.50 for first half hour, then £4.50 for every 6 minutes thereafter, plus parts; or £129 for 12 months cover including parts
Whirlpool – £85 + parts; or 10 monthly instalments of £14.90 by direct debit, including parts
ServiceForce – depends on appliance, freestanding washing machine £60 + parts
Hoover – £96.50; plus parts if machine outside 5 year parts warranty

Whirlpool charge stated is incorrect.
Maximum charge outside London for labour is: £79.00 total incl. vat + parts.
