Hi all,
please could you advise.
dishwasher sticks on prog4 (full wash) shortly after starting.
it does fill but keeps washing.
heater stat had tripped which i reset
found a water temp thermostat on the door, which when tested closes later than it should ( approx 6deg to high ).
If i bypass the thermostat the timer will then advance.
Does my theory below hold up,
Water temp Thermostat faulty preventing timer from advancing. As a result the programme had stuck and the heater stayed on which tripped the heater stat.
I also seem to be getting some back fill.Any ideas,

Correct – timer becomes static until temperature is achieved, thermostat making circuit restarts timer………. However – even if the stat is “off a bit”, if it does make, albeit on the high side, the timer should restart.
Thermostat will be a darn sight cheaper that the timer, so start there. I am unable to identify a part number for you, so you’ll have to ring Baumatic direct. An exercise in patience in itself, I’m afraid.
Power off when you go in!

ok,
I changed the thermostat which I purchased locally from drulight spares, very helpfull guy there.
Unit appears to be functioning, will see what happens over the next few days. I also placed a blob of heat sink compound on the thermostat to improve conduction between the stat and the door.My wife is pleased, she had indicated she would swop me for a new dishwasher.
Now I know where I stand in the pecking order of life.mr rugby
