E-Nr.WAE24162GB/03 FD 8606 609734 18 months old.
Hello all,
I’m new here I would like some help with my washing machine.
It stops part way through the cycle, at the rinse/spin step, and the 1000 600 spin speed lights are both on at the same time.
The washing is still warm and very wet.If any body can help I would be very grateful.

I think its telling you it has a heating fault if Ive deciphered the code you describe 😕
Basically its timing out and will continue to wash till end with no heat, albeit a tad longer than under normal conditions.
I would check the heater hasn’t gone (app 20-30 ohms) and it wiring.

Thanks for your reply.
I tried to spin out the washing on the spin cycle, it wouldn’t until I emptied the water out via the small tube at the bottom. I checked the drain hose, filter and impeller all seem clear as far as I am aware.
I am not an engineer I don’t posses an electrical meter, sorry.
Is the problem something to do with the “drain pump”?I will be calling an engineer tomorrow (Monday),any idea what I will have to pay?

Have you looked really hard inside the pump housing after removing the filter?
Try turning the impeller with your finger, it should “twang” every 45 degrees 😀
Can you hear any noise when you put it on drain or spin?Greg

It seems to be clear and yes it does “twang” as you describe.
When the machine stops as in my original post I try and spin/drain, nothing happens at all until I drain the water out through the small tube at bottom. When most of the water is out then it will spin ok. I not sure what unusual sounds there are if any.
I have just tried using the drain setting. Normal whirring sounds but it will not drain.martin harris.

check the end of the filter . i,ve had apenny stuck in the end hole which will stop drain cycle

If the pump is whirring away, there must be some kind of blockage. You can drain the machine using the emergency tube and filter, so the obstruction must be after the pump. Outlet tube as Gordy says; if the machine is coupled to a sink spigot you certainly need to check that and of course there is the good old crushed/nipped/trapped drain hose to check for.

these drain pumps do go weak, ive had loads that will quietly hum with a tub full of water but as soon as you drain it off it will run due to being no pressure on the impeller, it does sound like a drain problem, try draining it using the drain programme into a bucket if it does connect to a sink cone, if it doesnt drain then try stripping down hoses to pump and air-brake chamber (this is at the top of the machine splits the drain hose in 2), if these are clear replace the drain pump.
always disconnect from mains before starting, this means pull the plug out dont just switch off at the wall!Thank you gents,

I always find the outlet on the pump where the outlet hose connects gets blocked up as it’s a bit narrow. If i collected all the coins i have found lying sideways in the inlets and outlets of the pump housing i should be a millionaire by now. 😆

If you’re in the U.K. then your Bosch appliance will have a two year warranty.
But if the fault is down to a blockage like a coin or hair grip then you may be charged.
