I have the above dryer in a large house. It has been working fine for several years. Recently it has started to cut out every few days. It stops in the middle of a program with no lights on or display. After half and hour or so normal service is resumed.

I assume that something is overheating, I have opened the machine and venting and cleaned them out with no effect.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    is it vented well
i.e if you put your hand on the hose, is there adequate airflow?

most dryers have some sort of cut out if they over heat

it could be a fan problem, thats why u need to check airflow

other than that, its possibly a regulating thermostat problem

sorry to be a bit vague, but we need a bit more info

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The vent hose is 150mm diameter along the whole length. It is just over 2 metres long, with a 90 degree bend at each end. There is no cover on the outside end to slow the flow. Whilst running there is a strong flow from outer end, enough to ruffle your hair ( sorry no wind meter ).

Also , this machine has a warning light to remind you to empty the fluff filter. This comes on during every cycle. We do empty the filter regularly, but is this normal?

    Thanks again

well, it will if one of the stats is faulty
sounds like a thermostat problem to be honest
