Been out to repair a cooker under a contract while there the customer asked if i repair dishwashers. I took a look while i was there.
I found the mains filter blown part number 1801935 £24 from connect same part under the bosch 600233 £9, does not even come up as alternative. RIP OFF PRICE

    Anyway apart from the price.

What is the law requirement for using the appliance without this part.
I removed the part to clean the contacts, and test it to make sure there were no other problems and went away to order part.
Ordered part phone him to say had part and to fit it but now it has been working without it the customer doesnt want it repaired, where do i stand?

I’d charge him for call out – finding the fault & estimating for repair, if he declined to go ahead with the repair fine.
All appliances will run without a mains suppressor but it will interfere with TV & Radio reception if theres none fitted.

So there is no legal requirement to use it without one i assume?

Do you think you ought to endorse the invoice to cover any possible call back.
