    Hi,

An un-initiated requires some help with the depth of washing machines. I’m not sure where I’m measuring ‘to’ exactly.

The flat which I’m moving into has what looks to be a viable space, I’m measuring TO the outlet pipe which is horizontally coming out. Now, am I measuring to the end of the outlet or to the pipe itself?

If it’s to the end of the out, I’m 20mm short. If it’s too the pipe, then I think I’ll be just fine with a standard machine. Am I a little bit dense or just naive?!

I’m sure you can put me straight…

    Kind Regards,

    AB.

    Re: Washing Machine Depth Issue

    Hi

Washing machines in the main are 600 mm deep, however Beko produce some at 540 deep but these are only capable of taking a 5kg load. Hotpoint also produce some at 580 deep and Bosch produce a 400 deep machine for the narrowest of spaces.

If it were me I would have a plumber in to ascertain if the current arrangement can be improved to accomodate a 600 deep machine.
