ParticipantHave a Siemens SE65E330GB/74 just over a year old. no problems till now – ran a load on eco wash and realized a) wash didn’t complete – stopped before detergent released b) water in base of dishwasher c) led indicating no water or something. ladled out water, checked filter and opened pump and pulled out small amount of debris. put it back together and ran an empty 35 degree wash no problem. Put on a full load on eco wash and this time detergent released but stopped mid cycle and water left in base. Checked water connection hose and waste hose at original inspection and didn’t seem to be any blockages. is there anything else i should be doing before calling out a repair man – would break my heart to pay call out charge for something trivial.
Many thanks

Hi
I would look again at drain impeller (after removing the cover)
With your finger turning impeller, it should “twang” every 45 degrees, if not, it may have something wrapped round it or just plain faulty.
If you are satisfied you have done as much as you can, then ring BSH for a service call as all Siemens come with a minimum of a two year guarantee 😀Greg

Hi Greg
Thanks for your reply. After removing the debris, the wheel thing (impeller?) did twang every so often – probably every 45 degrees but I’ll check again in case its blocked a second time and if not I’ll call the service guys
Cheers

ParticipantWith the cover off of the impellor , push a cable tie underneath the impellor itself . If there is something like a shard of glass in the pump , it may not be visible and by using the cable tie , you may dislodge it . Also shine a torch down on the impellor area as you do it as this sometimes highlights glass pieces.

hey paul – thanks for that. no glass but a bit of something stuck in there. Am running a 35 degree empty wash to see how it goes. My partner will kill me if he has to ladel out the water again :rolls: he tried blowing through the waste pipe and the water gurgled so dont think there is a blockage or anything! will see how this cycle goes!
Cheers all
