ParticipantHoover’s answer to the jetsystem 😆 , anyway this machine wouldn’t always go into the fast final spin. The timer would just go on to stop too soon but only at the final spin. Out of 10 times she used it the machine might only spin 4 or 5 times..
I looked over the machine and nothing obvious then i realised whoever installed the machine had the hoses around the wrong way so it was rinsing with hot water. I changed them around and ever since it spins everytime. I’m wondering if the temp sensor when registering hot water prevents it going into the spin somehow upsetting the program but i suppose it could be just a coincidence. 🙂

Many Hoover’s have TOC’s on the drain pump winding these days. So maybe the TOC on the drain pump was cutting in and out through the constant high temperatures? 😕

Don’t think so as i watched the machine and it always completely emptied the drum.

You mean you actually sat there through the complete cycle with it filling with HOT on rinses and the pump never cut out? 😕

Perhaps when you pulled the machine out you unknowingly disturbed the drain hose which was partially blocked????
The only strange no spin faults I’ve had on these is the heater having low insulation.

No I mean I watched it emptying at the final spin and it pumped all the water out and still skipped the final fast spin. All the water emptied no problem. No the hoses weren’t kinked I even saw it doing it when pulled out.

Low insulation on hoover heaters can cause all sorts of wierd and wonderful faults. So now I always check heater first 😀

Participantlerch is right, your heaters faulty
id be changing it as soon as poss
when the insulation goes down, it does stop the machine spinning, and if you turn the temp guage down, it will spin
so your machines worked the opposite way
id deffo change it

It’s a while back now and has worked ever since, to be honest i thought it just had knob for the spin speed but could be wrong. I think it was a quattro as i remember blue writing alright.
