How bl**dy spooky is that?….I’ve got to fit a belt on a WTA4107GB/01 on Friday and was wondering how the hell to fit it myself? 😕
I suspect the front panel has to come off? The belt has a jockey pulley and so access from the front is my guess?….I too would love some info please! 😀

On it’s back with the front and base panel off.
The jockey pulley version is the easy one to do.February 5, 2008 at 4:33 pm #242257timdowning

I did my first belt change on one of these two weeks ago.
Front panel off to do the job.Lid off.
Bezel off. (make a note off timer and switch connections)
Undo all the screws you can see on the front. lift panel off.
Unclip front ducting enough to allow belt to be fed through. Not to bad a job. Not too different to the newer hoover dryers. (bit less involved)

Did mine today, not a nice job but not too difficult, yes it is like a Hoover/Candy but I hate those things. The inspection panel in the base is a good touch for when the belt pops off the first time the drum turns, kind of like the good old days of Creda driers with such things. Found had to undo all the screws in the base plate the allow the cabinet sides to be pulled apart enough to release the front drum support/ air duct. Should be grateful they are not stretch on belts I suppose. How did you get on Martin?

Sorry Mark, only just spotted your post.
Yes, shades of the Hoover dryers I’m afraid made worse in my case as the machine in tiny ‘cubby hole’ with little room to move let alone hurl a cat about! :rolls:
