Issue 15, ❓ ❓ the latest Partfinder is issue 9. 😕
Where did you buy the ‘setup floppy’ from. :rolls:
Partfinder setup files have been on the CD rom for years now, the only thing they usually send out on floppy disc are price updates but you can download them online anyway.
Sounds a bit suss to me.

Interesting, as Martin has commented to me in private it looks like Connects way of channelling orders through them.
The Stand alone Partfinder CD Rom is over £65.00 every 8 or 9 months or so.
All the set up files are already on it. Still only on issue 9 though. 😕
So Connect are charging you for a setup floppy disc, which is useless without the Partfinder CD Rom which already has the setup files on it. ❓

Search me?
I don’t deal with Connect so I have no idea unless it is to make ordering from them more straighforward.
Perhaps others have this floppy from Connect who could enlighten us.

I`ve just checked on Connect and they are out of stock.
Did they charge you £60 odd + Vat for that floppy???!!! 😯

ModeratorThe floppy used to be used for setting up terminals to access the data over a network (from one central location). Pretty sure not needed anymore.

Correct Mark, the floppy setup hasn’t been used for some years now. I pay a small extra fee to have it set up on my laptop as well as desktop and all validation is done online or by phone.
Still puzzled as to ‘issue 15’ though. 😕
