ParticipantComplaints from customer burning smell inside drum and scorching clothes.
Seems to be working ok in regards to, no blockages, fan motor working,water/pump working, no error codes showing. If it was getting too hot then I thought the thermal fuse should blow.
Could this be a thermistor or PCB fault?Any suggestions please

Likely as not if it were either then it would throw up an error code? Better that you take the condenser unit off the drum and check that lint filter first I reckon? If that gets clogged the hot air still blasts into the tub but the cooler condensing air is blocked or at the very least restricted. 😉
Also just double check the customer is using the machine correctly and neither overloading the dryer nor oversuddsing causing the clothes to stick to the drum? Most haven’t got a clue how to operate it correctly! :rolls:

cheers Martin
My engineer has checked the condenser all clear, the machine is just over 12mths old, customer has been doing the same program since he has lived there. (rented property) and has had no problems before (or so he said, you know what its like customers never tell you the whole story)
especially if you mention overloading or too much detergent.Surely if it was overheating it would still error out, you know what Indisits are like slightest fault.

Yeah it would show an error for the most part, that’s why I mentioned the likely alternatives as to why it doesn’t show an error? I must say I’m surprised your guy has checked the filter? Must don’t even know it exists and they block very quickly especially if you wash a load of new towels for the first time! 😉
So what next?…Chuck in another NTC I would then put a couple of damp towels on t/dry for 60 mins, do another call then come back and take a shufty?
Just a thought! 8)
