    i have a hotpoint f/f i think it is an rf60 but will have to check.
    it starts up but only the first two bars get warm on the grill then the motor gets red hot and cuts oiut after 30 mins.
    any ideas anyone?

    Sounds to me its short of gas hence only 2 bars getting warm or there is a system blockage.

    ok ta m8. long time no see,
    hows things
    i dont think it is short of gas we tryed re gassing it and found no leaks in the system how could i test for a blockage?

    how did you try to re-gas it? if you have the rigs to re-gas you should be able to use it to test for blockages too
