    Hi all – my Hotpoint WD420 is close to 3 years old but still in good nick. Couple days ago light 3 (rinse hold) on its own started flashing, along with the on/off light. It starts a wash and some water fills, but sometime shortly after that light 3 starts flashing. The door opens and the clothes are wet but I’m not sure if they have been fully washed.

    I tried to search for ‘light 3 flashing’ and for a list of error codes but couldn’t find any info. Does anyone know where I can finds the error codes for the Hotpoint WD420?

    the coding says its motor jammed or tacho…so its probably a motor fault or even module, probably wise to pay the hotpoint £90 all in call-out and get parts free and all in labour

    Ok thanks for the response. I turned it off for 10 minutes and back on and stuck on a wash. It’s on spin now so not sure if it’s fixed itself?? Would be interested to know the exact error message for light 3 (rinse hold) flashing.
