ParticipantMy AEG Favorit 40660 dishwasher tripped out on the anti-flood microswitch after the Y shaped black pipe at the rear split.
I tilted the dishwasher over to 90 degrees to remove the excess water & re-fitted a new Y pipe. I re-start the dishwasher & it drains the water, then after about another 2-3 mins the programme stops & 2 lights are flashing on the right hand bank of 5 lights.
The handbook states it’s a drainage outlet problem (sink spigot connection is blocked or water drain hose not correctly positioned), but so far I’ve removed the outlet pipe & it’s clear (proved by filling up dishasher with water & it drains to sink), removed the matrix on the left hand side & that’s clear, but it still flashes 2 lights.
I’ve tried resetting the controls, but this doesn’t help either.
Any clues where to look now please?

Hi Northender
Apologies for dredging up such an old thread, but …
I have a Favorit F40660 with the EXACT same symptoms as you had back in 2008 – the machine drains visibly and correctly but keeps issuing the “drain hose not correctly positioned” error code.
Did you manage to get yours sorted out in the end ? If so, can you share what the problem/fix was ?
I’m particulary foxed by HOW the machine decides that it’s not draining. The pump runs freely, there’s no flow sensor in the drain circuit, and the only other sensors I can see are in the stainless steel “sump” – a temperature probe and a pressure switch, the latter to detect when the sump is full. That could be used indirectly to infer failure to drain, but in my case it appears to be working fine (I can get the sensor to change state by blowing gently into the air tube).
If you can share your findings/fix, I’d be very grateful!
Thanks

Is it just the 3rd vertical LED (of 5) that is lit?
Is it actually heating the water? -
