The baffle in my Hotpoint Mistral FF80A fridge freezer does not close when the fridge reaches its setpoint.
Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the fridge thermistor? The fridge thermistor listed on the UKW site alongside the other two thermistors does not list the FF80 as a compatible model?
I’m also wondering if the PCB could be at fault. Anyone know of any pointers that could indicate this or otherwise?
Hi Hotpnt,
The fridge displays the EA error code which I was advised means a baffle error. The baffle remains permanently open even when the fridge temperature is below its setpoint. I have concluded that the fridge thermistor is OK since it appears to be giving roughly the right indication of fridge temperature.
Can’t be sure now whether the baffle servo is faulty or the pcb. Have checked the signals from the four wires to the servo and the black pair have approx 11.5 volts across them.
