Password?

    Just got this email from UKW today: –

    The user account ‘martin’ at UK Whitegoods has this email associated with it. A Web user from 82.30.21.180 has just requested a Confirmation Code to change the password

    What’s all that about? 😕

    Also I wonder if any of you guys can suss what IP address 81.132.105.179 relates to?…..If you can, I might be able to fill in a few blanks this end? All very odd 😉

    Probably someone though they had that as a username and requested a password reminder.

    81.132.105.179 is a BT Centralplus IP number. It is your own IP Martin. or at least the one you have been currently assigned, as your IP will be dynamic it can change on a regular basis.

    82.30.21.180 is an NTL IP address.

    If you check my IP you will see that although it has changed, it is nowhere near as often as yours. It is mainly when I have deliberately renewed the lease myself due to network problems or had a modem upgrade. Cable IP’s do not change as often as ADSL ones. I once went almost two years with the same IP even though it is dynamic . If you check your IP’s you will see that you get a new one virtually every day.

    The most you have ever posted from one address is 29 times, I have posted 2826, 2745 and 1222 times from just three IP addresses.
