hi guys have to check ou whirpool dishwasher. model ADG 642/1BR the man said it was making a crunching noise then stopped. i ask was the start light flashing when he got back to me he said it was flashing 11 times. then pausing and it would start to fill then pump out. is this a free standing or intergrated thanks fasetester.

FA WI failure.
If the electronic signal of the flow meter has been received for 3.4ltrs of water on permanent wash system and the WI signal “Water in sump” is missing then an failure is recorded.

hi guys owi failure how do you test it. and where in the dishwasher can you find it. is it in the sump can it be cleaned . and can you get at it from the front behind the kick board. dirty lens does it have eye that gets a signal . or control board defective where is the control board on this dishwasher and does this dishwasher have the asko pump as he said some thing about a rattling when it was going . thanks for any help as i have to look at it before 12 noon on tuesday. fasetester 😳

any help guys would a blockage in the pipe work cause this fault. or in the iwms any whirpool experts or penguin you have a good all around experience. thanks fasetester.

No OWI fitted to this one – diaphragm switch in sump likely to be crudded up. Locate black grid. It’s a twist fit from underneath, plenty of hot water and scrubbing will probably get it working again.
No flow meter either, so shoulld be straightforward enough.
Just as well I popped in for a cuppa…….. 😀

Yeah, door off, lower front panel off – you can reach round to the sump area.

went to repair the dishwasher chris it something like the jackson. checked diaphragm switch cleaned it would fill ok then it would pump out washer pump did not seem to be going. could not find any blockages there is a circuit board flow meter at the bottom of the iwms removed and cleaned and checked connections dont think it was blocked was clear no crud what would cause it to fill and then bring the pump in before it started to wash. if there is no blockages. there does not seem to be the usal anti flood what is the long rubber tail like thing that is on the front plate for. it has a dark brown front thanks fasetester.

is it a fault in diaphragm switch in the sump that bring the pump in after it fills. it only started filling after i removed the fill hose and reconnected it again. then when it pumped out some times would not fill unless the button was held in beside the flashing green light. the button did not feel right as if it was pushed in two far. after checking it for blockages i was going to check the panel the owner said the did not want it checked out any further. then you get ear ake from the woman for it not going then the man said he did not want it checked any further the stand and watch every move you make and moan hope it wont cost much 😡 😡 😡 fasetester.
