    WFG2020GB/01 FD 8006 04823.

I removed a bra wire from the outer drum via the sump hose last week.

Just been back this morning and can hear another one inside. :rolls:

Unlike the previous one I can see no sign of this one anywhere in the bottom of the drum.
It looks as though I will have to ‘open the patient up’.

Is this as straightforward as it looks and would a new drum seal be advisable?

    Jim.

Yep! Walk in the park it is Jim 😀

Front panel off, counterweight off, unclip drum front and gentle pull away the front drum plate. (Tip: Mark the plate before removing it so you put it back in the same position on re-assembly 8) )
No need for new gasket just a smear of Debor on the lower (water level area) part of the rubber seal is usually sufficient. 😉

Cheers Martin, what would we do without, bra wires, tazzo’s, colour catchers and the like. 😆

well there was another bra wire in it, the noise however was caused by the heater hitting the drum.

Another local chap had been out to remove a bra wire a month ago, customer said it was noisier after he left. :rolls: heater resting on top of the securing bar.

An absolute doddle to get into, unlike the 13 month old Indesit I went to earlier in the day, item of clothing jammed round back of drum.

Sealed drum of course, machine scrapped.

I did advise her about Indesit’s new maximum repair charges but she said a few rude words, intermingled with “Indesit, my money, never again” 😉

    Jim.
