    Hi Folks

Been to one of these today – cust complaining of noise – pretty sure the noise is coming from what i think are the jockey pulleys but I am finding great difficulty getting to them…

Has anyone else had problem with these and how on earth do you get to them and get the belt on after?

Had all the front off but looks like you have to take off the front bearing/wheel support – once the screws are out it looks like that lifts up and swivels up to get it off the front of the m/c but the belt tension seems to be preventing me from lifting it up + how on earth are you supposed to get the belt back on after it comes off as once the front support is in place you cant get to the belt/motor/jockey pulleys..

Anyone know how to get into these please or a few pointers?

    Thanks

    Mick

drum has to come out really

if you uscrew the drum, you can pull the drum out, with the belt left in position

change the pulleys, put some grease on, then slip the drum back through the belt

u should have enuff room to put your hands through and pull the pulleys over the belt

pig of a job im afraid, no quick easy fix, either

just have to stick at it

Yeh, did one a few weeks ago. carry on & take the drum out, only way of doing a proper job, time consuming but not difficult. I found belt pulley totally worn & needed replaced, drum support ones just needed clean & dab of grease.

    Thanks for the replies guys

Did assume that it was a drum out job but…

I did try to get my hands to the pulley and belt but could only get it in as far as just my finger tips to see if there was jockey pulleys fitted but could only get one hand sort of in and it felt vertually impossible to get belt on under tension? Think Candy must be using child labour if this is the only way to get the belt on?

Did you get the belt on the drum/motor/jockey pulleys then with the front support off then? If so, do you have to fight against the tension of the belt to get the support into the bottom fixing? or does releasing the rear of the drum help this?

Did try and get the support off but there felt as if there was not enough give in the belt tension to lift the support that inch to release it from the bottom fixing. Do you have to release the belt first to get the support off?

The problem I can see is getting the front support off/on with the belt on… or getting the belt off/on with the support fitted.. ????

In the meantime ordering the tension pulleys and any other help appreciated..

    Thanks
