ParticipantHi all, I hope someone can help me please.
I have had a Servis M6312X washing machine for about 4 years and it’s been working fine. This evening I pressed the ‘on’ button and there is no power, no light, nothig – the machine looks dead.
I have tested the power socket and replaced the fuse with one that I know works. What should I check next?
The serial number is 20042709626-010077202-01 02
I kept my last one, a Zanussi, working for 14 yrs, so hope this one is fixable too! Any help gratefully received.

Yep, almost certainly a PCB but possibly a mains switch or filter, but unlikely to be honest, Helo is right, it’s usually the PCB. Almost all PCBs for Servis are hovering about or over £100 these days.
Power off it you have a prod about.

thanks guys
I’m a bit loathe to splash out £100 before knowing it’s definitely the PCB. Is there any way of checking? If I call someone out and then need to but a PCB then it’s looking more sensible to buy a new machine!

Correct – So many better machines out there. You have no chance whatsoever of making this one last 14 years.

Participantcan you recommend one with similar styling please? Unfortunately, everything else looks similar in the kitchen and I have no chance of getting a door for use with a built in model.
Maytag does one but it’s over £1000 😯

Hi hovehornet
If this is a front loader you are looking for then take a look at the ISE 2 or even the ISE 5 if you can go the extra mile. Take a look here http://www.iseappliances.co.uk/

This machine is the full stainless steel machine. so if you want your appliances to match, and an equivalent styled machine is that much money, the board is probably worth a go. It still could be just the wires on the board that have overheated, a very common fault which doesn’t always need the board to be changed.
