i’m really not having a good week! 😕
placed my order online with KitchenScience, received my confirmation email but no delivery date was specified. i’ve just called them & they won’t have any stock until at least the end of March! 😥
i know you’re all going to say “what else did i expect” :rolls: but just humour me will you… 🙂
the extended 5 year warranty offer runs out on 29th Feb, so i’d really like one before then, please!
i’ve only found it online at 2 others places at a reasonable price, waiting to hear back if they have any.
is it a case of ordering from Miele direct when a customer places an order? does anyone know of anywhere that might actually have one sitting in their warehouse??

I`m sorry to say Miele are out of stock with no concrete due date I`m afraid. The only options I can suggest is take a look at this Miele link and contact any local retailers to see if anyone has one in stock. The only other option would be to re select another machine.
As far as the five year warranty is concerned as long as your reciept is dated prior to the 29th there should not be a problem if you wish to wait for the G1232.
Not having come across Kitchen Science before I did a little digging as to who they were on their site. I see they share the same address as Comet H.O. and the website layouts look the same 😯 are they one and the same ❓

thanks for getting back to me Don, looks like i’ll be on the phone for most of the day!
i’m a bit stuck with a limited choice as we want a stainless steel/silver one 😉 that model is the only free standing one i’ve found from Miele.
they could well be the same if HO is the same address, whoever they flipping are, they took the money straight away on my credit card! 😈
i suppose this is normal practice but i’m not impressed, taking money when goods not even available for at least 6 weeks! i was quoted their T&C when i queried this, but i couldn’t find anything specific in there. they have requested a full refund now, so i suppose i should be grateful :rolls:

edit: at the bottom of their T&C page, it states they are part of the Comet Group – well spotted Sherlock!

things are going from bad to worse now 😥
i’ve just checked my cc statement, the debit has gone through & is on my latest statement. so i’ll now have to pay this, then be credited on my next statement 😯
this means they took the money literally as soon as i ordered, all this for the sake of a couple of days! i knew my statement was due, but i didn’t think their payment could show within 1 day, they don’t normally!
i think i need a stiff drink… 😕

Have you looked at the AEG F50870 stainless steel or the Bosch`s SGS46E28GB or the SGS69L18GB which come in silver.
Or for machines with a standard five year warranty in stainless steel take a look at the Siemens SE24M851GB, SE26T852GB or indeed the SE26T590GB. If I had to do a in which order would I go for, it would be Siemens, Bosch and then AEG IMO.
It maybe a better option if you don`t want to wait 😉

i now have a dilemma! (coo-eee, Don… 😀 )
i have looked at one of the Siemens (£550) & the Bosch SGS69L18 (£420’ish), but i’m just loathe to spend that much when i ‘could’ have a Miele for a bit more!
from all your great info on here, & elsewhere, Miele really seems the way to go…
OK, i have been told by a very helpful local independant – Miele have told him that no more of the current production are available & they are expecting stock on the latest version of this one first week in March.
the updated version has CS at the end of the model no. & is a ‘Clean Steel’ finish (less fingerprints presumably?).
one internet guy had earlier told me about this version, but said it would cost £30 more! :rolls:
the local guy has said he will order one, deliver, fit & remove old machine for a competitive price, don’t have to pay anything until it’s ready.
BUT, Miele extended warranty is only til 29th Feb, my invoice will be dated after this, would it still be eligble?? help!
NB – local guy JUST rang me again, he’s knocked another £15 off the price! 😆

In this case I would offer the retailer a deposit, as long as the paperwork is dated prior to the 29th Miele will honour the 5 year guarantee whether or not the machine has been delivered 🙂Lexxy_703 wrote:
