    :hmm: Hi I am a newbie here,
    I wonder if anyone can help please, we have a Hoover el1600 whose display started to flicker intermittently and now the light seems to have gone, the display is there in the background and the machine still works fine (upto now) any suggestions on cause and repair.

    EL1600 does not appear to be a valid model number. Check the label above the door seal.

    thats because its an el160 mr penguin

    thats what he said, anyway would be better with serial number/product code

    the display pcb needs to be replaced whichever way
