Hoover Quattro 1100AB Motor Stuttering!?

Hello all!

My Quattro has recently developed an odd fault… When it starts its cycle – the motor ‘stutters’ and ‘judders’… It doesn’t turn the drum – then suddenly it will jolt and operate normally. The fault slowly improves as the cycle progresses and dissapears after around 5 minutes… It spins just fine. I’ve checked the belt – brushes – commutator – connections – board for dry joints and edge connectors.. Manually turning the drum (hence motor) has no effect on the fault

Any ideas?!
