    HNC170-80. Went to this one the other day, problem with on off switch. Was in a rush (as usual) had quick look, switch dont work unless you hold it in. So order new switch, go back same thing with new switch. On further investigation seems this is not straight on off switch and connects to small board with relay on. Could this be the problem.

    Just remembered. The board is held on with 2 little screws. Seems as though you have to remove whole front panel to access these, is this so.

    The relay’s go on these PCB’s they can be purchased seperatly from a component supplier 240V @ 16 Amp relay

    The PCB is only £6.49 ex vat from Masterpart, even cheaper if you buy two, hardly worth the hassle of buying the relay and fiddling around with the soldering iron. If you have a long enough screwdriver it is just possible to release the front panel from the top, ease it forward and the get at the screws, even used a long thin flat bladed terminal driver to get them out. I always refit the screws from the rear .

    lol.. i snap em off, and cable tie the new board to the wirng harness
