There was no heat from the tumble dryer, found two thermalfuse links inside heater box, one was o/c. Ordered and replaced heater box. Unit worked twice then no heat again. Thermalfuse inside box has gone o/c again, it is the one of the live side of the circuit. Checked fan function and checked clear condensor. Any ideas on why this part is failing.

It has been found that in a large number of cases this may be caused by fluff building up inside the dryer reducing air flow which causes the element to overheat. Check for fluff on the front and rear seals which can cause the drum to rotate more slowly. This slows the hot air fan and reduces airflow over the element. Failure to clean the condensor frequently and the ducts around the door opening are another possible cause. Other causes:poor ventilation;Thermostat and sticking heater relay. On one occasion lost supply to the motor from the main board after running for quite some time.. I hope this helps

    Re previous reply:
Always unplug the appliance from the electricity supply before carrying out any inspection or repair

Thanks for the advice, I will check all ducts etc thoroughly, then ensure the heater is cycling on/off. It’s worth remembering the lost supply to motor, it’s the rare ones that usually catch us out.

I had this problem before and it turned out to be the electronic module (intermittantly not powering motor, but keeping the heater on!)
