ParticipantHi guys
I bought the CTD40 “stats” pack off the website after reading a few articles. Seemed very easy. But I can’t find out where to install these. I removed a panel off the back it, but no joy. Does anyone have a pic or diagram showing the panel I should be removing, colour, location etc.

So you ordered the parts before you even tested them to find out if they were the cause of the fault. :rolls:
In the back panel there are two very small screws, these hold the element and stats in situ. The element is very delicate so needs handling with care.
NB. There are two different stat and NTC kits for these machines, not interchangable.
Jim.

Cheers m8. When yu say back panel, do I get at the stats from inside the machine (taking lid off) or from outside machine?
Also, where are the wee screws. Back middle, top right, top left, bottom right, bottom left.
Apologies for dumb questions, but bit of an amateur.

Participantok, at the rear of the dryer, theres a banjo shaped panel
there, thats where it is, youll see screws all the way around, and two small screws on that panel, near the top
there, thats them really easy to find, 1 panel iff, and release it with 2 screws, the thermostats are over the heater

Super Duper. What can I say. I located the banjo, turned the electric off and did the swap. Hotpoint quoted me £90 for a call out and repair. UKWhiteGoods gave the part and all the help I needed for £23 approx.
Must admit, I’d had the banjo part off earlier in the day, but didn’t think to look inside it. Once I had the panel off it took me about 30 mins, but would take far less if you are “handy”.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for the help. Keep up the good work!

You will also find a stat inside the door you need to remove the worktop and control panel to access it.
