ParticipantThe time required for this washer to tumble-dry has been getting steadily longer. The clothes now come out still damp but very hot!
It seems the dryer heater is working but the condenser is not.
The pump and cold water inlet have been checked according to the user manual but are fine.
I’ve seen mention here of a trickle of water flowing through the washer during the dry cycle. Is there any way to check if this is present? I assume the flow comes from the third inlet valve, the one with the thin pipe. Is it possible the valve or pipe is blocked?
What is the function of the small plastic box clipped to the top back rail, just under the lid, connected to what I assume is the condenser cold water inlet pipe?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi
Things to check would be
1/ The dryer fill valve should read app 2-3 kohms
2/ Is the dryer fan, running correctly?
3/ The condenser container below the dryer fan needs removing and may need cleaning.
4/ Is the drain system clear ie waste pipe exit and filter unit on machine ?Power off before attempting any of this :plug:

Thanks Greg for your advice.
You got it in point one! The fill valve for the condenser is open circuit. I’ll order a replacement tomorrow.
Can I ask how difficult it is to get at the condenser container to give it a clean? I may as well do it while the machine is in bits.
Does the dryer fan, heater and condenser come off in one unit from the top or does it have to be split before removal?Cheers and thanks again.

Hi
Valve unit is p/no 173910 available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk 😉
As for container, its a bit of strip down but ok, just take your time 😀
The conatiner below the fan will detatch from the top manifold of dryer and is the only bit that needs to be removed to be cleaned.Greg
