Participant:rolls: Hi
I have a problem with this machine it will not complete its cycle.
There are no blinking lights the machine will stay on until switched off.
I have cleaned out the pump area (could not see filter) and water is pumping, some of the programs work wash and spin, empty machine, but the normal cycle will not complete its cycle .Also when just outside its guarantee a month or so ago the machine would not switch on, so before calling out a service engineer I opened the lid and discovered that the two wires going to what I think is the heater broke from their connectors and were loose in the machine . I am from a electro technical background so I should be able to repair simple problems with this machine.
Any suggestions😉

A faulty heater will cause the machine to stick in the main wash cycle without any error messages.
The wires going to the dryer heater on top of the machine would not cause the machine to stop in the wash cycle.
You need to be checking the wash heating element, access from lower back panel.
If that is Ok then it points to the main PCB or its connections. 😥Jim.

😀 Thanks
for your prompt reply I assume the heater heats the water until it reaches a fixed temp and then the cycle continues .I will take your welcome advice and look at the heater element.
My experience with this machine is not good!!! 👿

ParticipantI looked at the heater element and it is open circuit!!!
There is what looks like a silver thermistor or thermal cut out switch inserted in the heater is this removable.
Is it easy job to replace the heating element ?Joe

A new element comes complete with thermistor.
It is not technically difficult but it is physically very awkward. If you get a new element first you will see how it is held in place.
THIS will give you some idea of the process and TBH it is much harder to get at the heater on your machine.
