Hope somebody can shed some light before I strip it.

Dishwasher is taking ages and ages to complete a cycle, and is possibly not heating.

The heater has packed up twice before, and each time is was popping the breaker every time, so I dont think its the heater element. Also the current element is only 3 months old.

I have disconnected the drain hose and started the washer. It seems to drain off a couple of litres of water then stop, leaving around 2 inches in the bottom.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

Elements on these fail through lack of water. The cause is the hose in the front left corner under the tub sludging up. It needs to be removed and cleaned. It is also worth removing the left hand side panel and having a look at the pressure chamber and switch at the bottom of the fill matrix. Again, this fills with sludge and goo.

Bear in mind that the machine is a dishwasher, not a waste disposal unit. Heavy deposits must be removed before the machine is run.

Stay safe, power off when working on the machine.

    Thanks for that.

Right. Took the front left pipe off, looks clear. Cleaned it anyway.

Also, cleaned the water filler and checked the pressure chamber. All ok.

    Still no heat 🙁

Still doesn’t trip any fuses etc.

    Any more suggestions?

    thanks
