Turning the programme cycle knob on the top panel, and snap; outer part of knob turns, but not the rotary switch behind it.

How do I get access to see what has happened, and do you know if it is easy tosort out?

    Regards, Meander.

    Hi
    Unplug appliance first :plug:
IIRC, Lid off then remove soap drawer and then retaining screws around its mouth.
The fascia should with care just pop off by teasing retainers from the inside.
Its relatively common for the plastic shaft of the knob to snap as its a no contest ie plastic shaft turning a fairly stiff metal timer shaft :rolls:
Please pop the full model number up so we can identify correct part/s for you 😀

It will be either around the door inner or on the rear of the appliance 😉

eMail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and ask for a 155314. Fitting is very technical. Pull the old one off and snap the new one in.

Re: Bosch WFB 2004 – access to control knobs

    Thanks for the advice.

Having got the facia off I have found that it is the dial behind the window with the programme cycles A, B, C … etc, that is the problem. Its 2 plastic springs which engage it with the knob have broken off. The actual knob seems OK. With the facia off, I can operate the programme switch, and still use the machine – though not a safe way of doing things of course!

Do you have a part number for it? Machine is WFB2004GB/16.

    Regards, Meander.

    Hi
Dial behind window (one with prog letters on etc) only comes with complete fascia 😥
The knob and cam come seperately, they also come complete with fascia fyi 😉 .

    Fascia p/no is 350356 available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
