    Hi There

Great to find this forum ……………having trouble with my CL 847 4 yr tumble dryer, the last 2 weeks some times it works ok other times it does a 10 sec movement then does 20 sec movement in other direction then stops with anti-grease light on telling me the clothes are dry ………….which they cant be because they have only been in machine for 30 secs or so . Any ideas please .

If this is the “press the button and it works it out for you” machine, there is a fault in the temperature control gradient. The advice is to remove and clean the metal strips on the paddles, check that the heater and thermostats are functional and that the brush is still in its holder running against the drum.

Every single one I have ever been out to to repair with these symptoms has had a faulty control board.

    Power off when checking, please.

In the drum – big paddles with metal strips running along their top edges. Access for removal is from outside the tub, so power off before doing anything.
