    Hello,

My Samsung Fridge freezer has developed a fault, which began with the water dispenser stopping and then the fan making a racket when it switched on. After reading posts on this site I took it apart defrosted the ice block and checked the heaters. The main heater is open circuit and obviously faulty. Is it possible for me to replace this on my own or is it a specialists job? It looks like it is an integral part of the refrigerant circuit.

    Regards,

    Russell.

The heater is bought with evaporator and transferred. Tricky. Power off if you are going to do it yourself. Otherwise Repairs@ for one of our engineers.

Yup and I would also transfer the defrost sensor and fuse also from the evap unit, making sure they are transposed exactly in the same place to the old evap in fridge section and secured sameway.
Unplug appliance first before attempting above 😉

Cost of evap unit is app £80 😯

I have purchased the unit and will have a look when it arrives, if it looks like I can’t sort it out, I’ll call a professional.

    Many thanks for the posts,

    Russell.
