    Looking for help to fix an AEG OKO Favorit 5040i dishwasher.

    Having unbolted the doorlock hasp to open a jammed door and unscrewed the fascia to get at the lock mechanism, am now having difficultly reassembling the lock so that it engages and retracts when released. I wonder whether a part has broken off the mechanism or if there’s simply a particular way the hasp, rocker and springs and operating lever have to be set up first time.

    Hope someone out there can advise.

    These old latches either work properly, or they don’t. The plastic wears, simple as that. Latch kit is 8996464036-32/7, last price I saw was about £22 plus the usual. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get one for you and confirm the current price.
