    I need a fan pulley for a model 912. Homespare list one, their part number 4208, to fit the Hoover Senior 612, price 57p + VAT. The 612 uses the same belt as the 912 so would this pulley do the job? Connect list a pulley for the 912 but it is special order and priced at £11.74 + VAT.

    Bl**dy Hell! that’s taking me back some 35 years or more but yes the 612 and 912 pulleys (as far as I recall) are the same. The only difference between the 2 models at the time was the body casing of the machines. The 912 was larger with big rubber furniture guards, the 612 lighter. The motor, belt and agitator were the same.

    Don’t for gods sake pay Connects price, there’s a good chap 😉

    I’ve probably got dozens of the bu&&ers in my old vac junk tin thinking about it? :rolls:

    Thanks Martin. I’ve ordered the Homespare one. Unfortunately they no longer supply the belt so I will have to get that from Connect 😕

    The Homespare pulley finally arrived today and it is slightly different to the 912 one as it’s about 1/4″ shorter. I will see if it still works OK without the belt jumping off. 🙁
