    I’ve just had a call from a customer to look at a Siemens dishwasher. She complains that it makes a noise as soon as she switches it on and that the display has reverted to German text. From her description I would guess that there has been a leak and that that the flood protection system has kicked in and is running the drain pump. That bit I can deal with. But I have no idea how to reset the language on the display or why it has changed to German. I’d appreciate any any thoughts or information on this one. TIA Graham.

    Switch off the machine, switch it back on holding the main switch until the display is lit. Select the language (EN in this case) and the press the OK button. 😉

    Thank you Martin – that did the trick. The rest was just rodent attack on the drain hose and the machine is up and running again (In English!). Graham
