Never worked on hoovers before but my missis Dyson DC02 motor burnt out, (brushes burnt through armature). I replaced the motor but now unless she has the cable all the way out it cuts out and have to wait for few min until it comes back on. Have checked the motor and is fitted ok, and sucktion is good. (there is a foam cover on the motor wondering if i should just throw that out?
I am guessing thermal cut out somewhere, any ideas guys?

They do have a motor TOC. Usually if the motor gets that hot you will notice the outer plastic casing of the machine feels hot. If the machine still feels cool perhaps you have a faulty TOC on the new motor. If you still have the old motor you could try the TOC off that.
