    Hi

    I wonder if anyone can help me with the fault on my dishwasher. I have a FDW 60 from Hotpoint. When trying to use the machine first carries out a drain cycle then I think a fill, at this point (aprox 30-40 seconds into the cycle) it beeps once and flashes the “ECO 45” and the “PREWASH” LED’s. It then carries out a drain cycle again.
    The information I have is the “ECO 45” and the “PREWASH” LED’s flashing rapidly means the filter is blocked. If this refers to the small filters in the bottom of the wash bay I can safely say these are not blocked. Also there are no blockages in the drain pipe work.
    If anyone can tell me if there are any more filters or what else could be the problem it would be appreciated.

    Hi

    Think you will find that the error code means that the machine has gone into a filter clean cycle. There are numerous causes of this, such as the pump being blocked, wash motor not functionaling correctly, spray arms blocked, heater down to earth.

    Not an easy one to track down I am afraid.
