    Hi,

We have had a SR-S2028CSS for a few years now and its been fine.
Recently it’s been quite noisy and when i open the fridge door it sounds like a fan slows down (quite noisy) to a stop and the noise disappears.
Once the door is closed, a few seconds later the noise starts again.
Today the noise has stopped altogether whether the fridge door is open or closed so i have a feeling I’m going to get problems real soon as i imagine the fan or whatever it is has stopped for good.
Any ideas what this could be? Anything i could check or do?
    Many thanks in advance 🙂

Just to add, strangely this only seems to happen in the evening. Through the day the fan/noise does not seem to be working/happening at all.
Also just to add in case it’s relevant the water dispenser has not worked for some time now.

Called Samsung and they wouldn’t do anything, they said it was out of warranty.

Took some fruit out of the bottom drawers in the fridge today and it was frozen so I’ve stripped the inside of the fridge out and what looks like a radiator at the bottom was all frozen (took some getting to as the panel covering it was frozen solid. The large S shaped tube which the water must pass through to go to the water dispenser was frozen. The fan also had ice around it.
I let everything defrost and tried the water dispenser and it worked but i also noticed a jet of water shooting out of the S shaped tube in the fridge. Looks like a pin hole in it so ive stopped the water supply to the fridge and drained the S shaped tube.
I’ve put everything all back together and it’s working as new.

Now i would gather this will only be ok temporarily so any ideas on what exactly is wrong with the fridge and how much i would be expecting to pay to have it repaired?

    Many thanks 🙂
