I’m not even sure this cooker is faulty but customer claims it took an hour to cook some sausages! The grill cuts out after a few minutes and the grill indicator light goes off. It eventually comes back on, apparently after about 15 minutes. The grill control is a thermostat, not a simmerstat. There is also a door seal round the grill compartment so it would appear to also serve as a top oven. The odd thing is though, the thermostat dial is not marked out in temperature, just numbers 0 to 5. There is a door switch which I assume turns off a bottom element when you open the grill door. If I can find the part number of this door switch I will renew it as I suspect it may be dodgy.
I suppose if a grill is thermostatically controlled it is bound to shut off sometimes but perhaps it is cooling too much before it cuts back in 😕

try the connector unit at the back what connects 6mm from wall.

Sometimes a bad connection this causes it to arc and it lose conductivity hence goes off.

As with the knob going up to five chances are that she has taken them off to clean and put them on wrong spindle.

If it is only a grill rather than top oven the is she shutting the door allowing the switch to operate to prevent over heating?
