    Hi,

I’ve just spent ages looking at the site, and virtually all day looking at different models on the net. Despite the great advice I still can’t work out what to go for, or if there are any other things I should be looking at with a built in model, so I just thought I’d ask and see what comes up.

I currently have a Tricity Bendix BL 493 W which gave up the ghost yesterday. It’s well over 10 years old (can’t remember exactly) so there’s no point getting an engineer in, it’d cost more to repair than it’s worth.

It’s a built in model, sits in a cupboard on top of a matching freezer (that’s still going strong at the moment after being repaired when it was a couple of years old, but probably not for much longer). I can’t find the exact measurements in the spec, but it says in the user manual that it fits into a housing 880mm x 550mm x 560mm, so I guess that’s what I’ve got.

Any recommendations please? Also how much roughly should I be paying to get someone to fix it in the existing housing, and would it be cheaper to get a matching freezer at the same time and have both fitted together?
