I have noticed a bright blue leak stain on the ice in the small freezer compartment of my fridge. The pipe that (I pressume) supplies the freezing capability to the freezer is bright blue too. What is it and should I be worried about this?
    Many thanks

What machine is it? How old is it?

Sounds like copper pipework is getting corroded.

It’s an LG, undercounter fridge with small freezer compartment at the top. It’s about 3 – 4 years old.

It sounds as if the copper pipework has corroded and that’s what’s giving you the “blue”, it should actually be a kind of greenish blue, quite bright as you describe.

There’s little that can be done about it in all honesty but I am not aware of it presenting any danger as such unless it gets on food.
