Participant😀 Hi guy’s.
Got a Bosch Classixx WVF2402GB/01 washer dryer.
Washes clothes ok i think. However when we turn the dryer on the drum spins but there’s no heat and the timer doesn’t move.
Checked the element at the top tonight and its 34ohms so i think thats ok.
Does it have a thermo fuse or is it the timer? It makes a kind of ticking sound like the timer is going but the knob doesn’t move.
Any ideas would be appreciated, cheers in advance.April 16, 2008 at 10:30 pm #249464gegsy

Hi
there will be a re-settable stat (175 deg) it will have bobbly end on it and if pushed down may click if it has been activated.
Activation will indicate poor air flow for these reasons
1/ Fan failure or just plain lazy rotation 😉
2/ Fluff/lint blockage in dryer manifold
3/ Stopping dryer in mid cycle (Impatience 😆 )Power off before investigating :plug:

OK, thanks Greg, i’ll give that a try.
She know’s to always wait for the green light before opening so don’t think it’ll be that. There did look to be a lot of dust around the element.I’m a newbie when it comes to this sort of thing so just wondered the sort of area i need to be looking for the re-settable stat? Should it be just behind the controls somewhere?
While i’ve got it in bits is it worth giving the fan a clean, they work better when the blades are clean dont they?“You can have a go at fixing it but dont make too much mess in my kitchen”….Women 😯 .

Hi
All the stats are ontop of the dryer manifold, you cant miss them 😉
Cleaning fan blades can’t do any harm 😀Greg

Took the lid back off last night, staring me in the face was the Stat 😳
Reset that, cleaned the fan and cleaned all the fluff out of the plastic ducting.
Turned on to dry some clothes, struck up on heat and timer works again. Thanks again Greg.
